NMF Dance: Our Picks For The Week

New dance tracks from Troyboi, southstar, and more!

1. Troyboi, Jazzy B – “Okay”

Troyboi’s new album Rootz features the standout track “Okay” featuring Jazzy B. The collaboration captures the EP’s high-voltage fusion of culture and sound. TroyBoi drives the track with hard-hitting trap beats, while Jazzy B’s powerful vocals infuse it with the raw, unshakable energy of Bhangra. The result is an electrifying anthem that bridges Punjabi tradition with global bass music, making it one of the most dynamic moments on Rootz.

2. Seven Lions, Kerli, – “By the Light of the Moon (feat. Kerli)”

Seven Lions reunites with Kerli after over a decade for By the Light of the Moon, the lead single from his forthcoming album arriving this December. This track blends soaring, cinematic production with Kerli’s ethereal vocals, evoking a dreamlike soundscape that bridges nostalgia and evolution.

3. Murphy’s Law, Gardna – “Passport”

Murphy’s Law linked up with Bristol MC Gardna for “Passport,” a cheeky UK garage-inspired track. Built on rubbery basslines, the track captures the thrill of jet-setting from one dancefloor to the next. Gardna’s witty, TSA-style hook and smooth flows ride the duo’s slinky groove, delivering a globetrotting anthem tailor-made for late-night club energy.

4. Just A Gent, UNDY, Seiren – “I Can’t Take It”

Just A Gent, UNDY, and Seiren join forces for “I Can’t Take It,” a dark, cinematic trap cut. Anchored by UNDY’s haunting topline, the track balances stark piano chords and orchestral swells with chaotic 808s, distorted textures, and thunderous low-end. Equal parts emotional collapse and club energy, the collab showcases the trio’s ability to merge raw vulnerability with powerful, genre-bending production.

5. southstar – “Echoes”

Berlin-based producer southstar drops “Echoes.” Blending techno’s raw drive with trance’s euphoric lift, the track pairs dreamlike vocals with elastic basslines, staccato piano, and glistening melodic swells that evoke freedom and release. Following his breakout hit “Miss You,” southstar cements himself as one of dance music’s most compelling new voices.
