The newest app has already taken the internet by storm. Managed by the social media app Instagram, the app is new to the METAverse family with solely one goal in mind: to take over the reign of Twitter. Since its official release date, millions of users have already joined the fun, including popular brand names and celebrities. And with them, they’re taking their followers, memes, and memories to rebrand on this new app.
The Layout
The Threads app layout is extremely similar to the layout of Twitter, featuring “threads” of your following and followers and suggesting accounts as well. If you already have an Instagram account, you can transfer your profile details, making it a quick and easy setup.

War Of The Apps
Though Threads may have been in development before the recent battle between the billionaires, Threads is a serious competitor against the multi-million-user social media app Twitter. The two heads of both apps, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, have been rumored to fight against each other in the ring. The cat-and-mouse game has taken place over the last several months, and the release of Threads has only added salt to the wounds. Zuckerberg made his last post to Twitter a funny meme referring to the “copycat” app that Threads is to Twitter.
Zuckerberg has been referencing his goals for the newborn Threads against his opposition. Musk replied with the law, sending an email to Zuckerberg accusing his corporation of “unlawful misappropriation.” Only time will tell the outcome of this debate.
A New Social Media App
The launch of this app is just the beginning of newer social media apps coming to life. A successful rollout has skyrocketed the app to #1 in the social media category on the Apple App Store.
