This week’s playlist proves the global reach of electronic music. Artists from all over the world have returned with fresh tracks to boost the weekend energy.
1. Blanke & AUDIA: “Data”
Australian DJ Blanke presents “Data” with AUDIA. It is a high-tension headbanger with the most delicious industrial, scratchy, instrumentals. Think of a journey through the inside of a computer, but make it house.
2. Soul Clap ft. Life on Planets: “Rick Fredkin”
The seasoned American DJ duo Soul Clap come back with funky jungle tune, “Rick Fredkin” featuring Life on Planets. The soothing beat is paired with lyrics which offer social criticism of the mega-rich, such as “you living good while 99 of us in the dirt.”
3. Eater: “Master”
Italian DJ Eater makes interesting use of ominous, almost dystopian samples for “Master.” The track is short-but-sweet, filled with intense dub-step “wubs.” It is for bassheads seeking to add a thrilling, spooky edge to their playlist.
4. Kasbo ft. Frida Sundemo: “This Is It”
Swedish DJ Kasbo and artist Frida Sundemo release uplifting future bass track, “This Is It.” It has light timbres all around, matching the float-y, spiritual-feeling visualizer. The track effectively stops time, creating a world of pure elation with each passing loop.
5. Quality G: “Here We Go”
Chilean DJ Quality G brings upbeat house-tech track “Here We Go” to the table. It is the title track of his recently released and very first EP. An entrancing blend of percussion, most notably bongos, makes it hard not to dance.
