Nat P. Jones’ Eases Our Aching Soul With Her Song ‘Alive’

To be able to open our eyes and breathe anew is often times a gift we take for granted. Sure, life can throw us for a loop with all the challenges we’ve faced through the years. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that to be alive is such a magical feeling, especially when amongst nature and the ones we hold dear. Cheesy as it may seem, it’s in these small moments of pleasure that we realize that the pain and sacrifice made is worth it. That we would go through another round of it, just to feel this happiness and be fulfilled again.

It’s that same gusto for fulfillment that fuels budding artist Nat P. Jones and her brand-new single entitled “Alive”. Released last November 4th, it’s a calming walk through the forest of our turbulent minds. A sweet conversation between us and Nat P. Jones, as she invites us to break free from our comfort zones. It’s never easy, but she assures us that if we do take her to it and start “Pushing back against a phenomenon” of the fake life pedaled to us constantly by world as the lyrics express. We too can finally move past beyond simply existing and into that blissful state of being alive.

Comparable to gliding through the clouds, “Alive” is the epitome of calm amidst the storm. It knows all too well that life is already turbulent enough, so it takes that gentle approach to things. Through Nat P. Jones’ warm vocals accompanied by the soothing instrumentals, we can clearly see that this comes from the depths of her heart. There is so much care put into this and there’s that genuine intention to lighten our mood. It’s her way of communicating and giving a warm embrace for those of us who’ve always been “waiting outside”. Most importantly, a love letter to those who are still inside and scared of what’s out there. She may not know us personally, but she’s aware of what we’re going through because she’s been there too. With that, she also reminds us that there is always joy in every corner. It manifests itself in unlikely shapes and forms that could surprise us. When that day arrives and we see it face to face, don’t dare sleep on it, instead go ahead and take it because it’s meant for us. We all deserve to be happy.
