Two major pillars of the dance world have strategically teamed up to create a pioneering record label. 1001 Recordings is the offspring of track database giant 1001Tracklists and the world-famous Tomorrowland Music, promising to push for innovation and uplift the site’s dedicated community of dance artists.
Whether a budding DJ who has yet to complete a full bio or one who has torn up headlining shows 10 times over, this new label seeks to fuse these diverse talents with their mutual love for community and ambition for progress in the genre. Initial signings back this idea, including Rafael Cerato, Wave Wave, Pavel Petrov, TH;EN, Matt Guy, and Volaris. Names like Solomun, CamelPhat, and Adam Beyer have also shown their support through featuring unreleased material from the label in their recent sets.
First Moves
First focusing on collaborations, 1001 Recordings released two diverse bodies of work to set the tone for what’s to come. On July 11th, Sick Individuals, Matisse & Sadko, and Third Party delivered “Take Me There,” a progressive house anthem evocative of a nostalgic, heavenly place that may only exist in dreams.
On July 18th, Dillon Francis and MARTEN HØRGER released a 2-track EP titled B2U, featuring “B2U” and “Cut The Midrange,” which highlight fiery bass house with hints of acid and techno. Both releases made grand debuts at Tomorrowland Belgium 2025 on the iconic “The Library” stage.
1001Tracklists C.M.O. Jacob Merlin emphasizes the synergetic fit with Tomorrowland Music, saying that:
the launch…was a natural step to give a bigger spotlight to the artists and music our community already believes in and champions… It’s the perfect representation of the collaborative energy we want to celebrate.
This dance-ready label is sure to elevate Tomorrowland Music, as well as many other festivals and perfomances, to the next level, democratizing the fame and excitement of major sets by platforming budding talents in the mix. 1001Tracklists’ encyclopedia-like range and depth of music is unmatched, only to transform into something greater through the power of community with this new label.
