Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist from UK. Merging indie, dreampop, acoustic, pop and folk vibes into new and interesting sounds. Going Global!
Will’s main influences are John Mayer, LANY, Lauv, The 1975, Joan, Tom Misch, Iron and Wine, Minus The Bear, Jack Johnson and Turnover. Will likes to write in a range of genres including indie, dreampop, pop, acoustic, soul and shoegaze, but his fans often communicate that his tracks are ‘chilled’ and ‘good vibes’. Will has since had extensive support from renowned blogs online and featured many times in the climbing list on Hype Machine.
Will Newman is really gaining some traction now as a singer-songwriter, but more importantly as a multi-instrumentalist who takes big inspiration from his influences. Will’s debut album Sand hit #32 when it debuted in the iTunes UK singer-songwriter charts, and has had a great reception with tracks like ‘Bite My Lip’. Will is firmly marking his name as one that is hard to put into a genre, but instead one that stands exceptionally on its own with his own sound amongst his wide range of influences. Following a spate of TV and online interviews, WIll is beginning to make a name for himself amongst a number of UK artists who want to take an eclectic approach to music production, composition and releases, with a ‘DIY’ approach. Will has received international support, with regular radio plays on the other side of the globe in Melbourne, and a promising sales reception to his most recent singles across the globe.
Will is currently working with his team to pursue licensing and sync deals worldwide after a good global reception with his vast collection of different musical styles. After his first 2020 single Part Time Lover received blog coverage in Belgium, France and Australia, Will announced a studio version of his single ‘I Guess You Didn’t Mean Forever’ with London based artist Nik Sudan, released on 8th May 2020. Following a cute music video for his aforementioned track, WIll is working towards his next single on 12th June ‘Make Believe’, a hazy summer love track about the dizzying moments of a new relationship.
