LUNA AURA Has The Best Daydreams

LUNA AURA has returned with a single that will leave listeners in a dreamy trance. “CANDY COLORED DAYDREAM” is just that— colorful, euphoric and addictive.

The music video, partly created by the artist herself, is filmed to feel like a trance. Many visual effects, warps and distortion, create a very whimsical visual experience. Fans will question, just for a second, what reality is.

Where’s my body?
I left it in the lobby
It’s all so funny
That I don’t even care

– “CANDY COLORED DAYDREAM”

LUNA AURA leads listeners through a rather strange plot. Walking along a dirt path under blue skies, she encounters a human-sized mouse. The two drive away together in an open convertible. This mouse becomes her companion, as they travel, have pool parties and dance together.

The lyrics reference the struggles she has endured, be it common or uncommon. The singer, however, focuses more on the feeling of letting go. During her trip, she learns to focus on that fuzzy feeling that gives her the strength to continue living unphased.

“CANDY COLORED DAYDREAM” is about my relationship with magic mushrooms, and how they’ve given me the confidence and courage to be authentically myself in a world full of actors.

Listeners have picked up on the loose and carefree atmosphere of the song and named it perfect for long road trips and warm weather. It’s a great pick-me-up for any other day too.

LUNA AURA recently released an EP, THE FICTION, sharing five new tracks with fans. More exciting, the singer will be on tour with Slipknot’s Corey Taylor on his US Headline Tour all throughout the fall. In October, she’s set to perform at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento.
