In the UK, music festivals and football are serious business. This year, Glastonbury Festival clashed with England’s crucial match against Slovakia in the Euro 2024 tournament. The game was an important one, the quarter-finals. Because Glastonbury‘s festival grounds didn’t broadcast the match, Louis Tomlinson stepped up to fill the gap.

Determined to bring football and festival vibes together, Tomlinson set up a flatscreen TV at the festival campgrounds. This quick thinking allowed fans to gather and watch the thrilling game outdoors.

The TV quickly became the focal point as dozens of festival-goers huddled around to catch every moment of the match. The game stretched into extra time, building tension among the crowd. When England clinched a win, the area immediately erupted into cheers and celebrations. The FOMO is real.

Louis’ sister, Lottie Tomlinson, shared the excitement on TikTok, posting, “We brought a TV into Glasto to watch the England game.”

Speaking to BBC, Tomlinson reflected on the impromptu setup:

It was a little bit touch and go at times because the signal kept going in and out. Luckily we got the win. We pulled it off.

Although Tomlinson was at Glastonbury as a fan rather than a performer, he became the hero of the festival. People called him “the god of the festival” for his quick thinking.

Glastonbury is famous for its music and fun vibes. This year, thanks to Louis, it also became a place for football excitement. His clever move brought everyone together. It was a perfect mix of music and sports. Louis Tomlinson made sure fans didn’t miss a moment, making this Glastonbury one to remember.
