Life in Discord, an emo, post-hardcore band, recently released their latest standalone single, “A Silhouette (Relapse).” Starting out in collaborating on a few songs together, the members then grew into a four-piece band with a love for back-breaking riffs.

“A Silhouette (Relapse),” is an emotional and raw experience in struggles through alcoholism and addiction; and the deterioration of relationships and friendships because of its impact. Refusing to filter back lyrically, the track marks a transition in their message as a band.

The clean vocals hit home and harmonize beautifully with the unclean melody. In sharing the slow process of deterioration through addiction to substances, the song expresses how the sickness isolates its host from loved ones and the desperate crawl for freedom and a new way to cope from the darkness, guilt, and pain.

While sharing such a powerful message, it creates a cathartic escape and release while offering a hand to be held against the loneliness and isolation.

The track is now available on all streaming services. Listen now:
