L E A Releases Her Frustrations And Joy About Her Experience In The Music Industry In “FTS (Sick of This)”

Feeling burnt out, overworked, and tired? Looking for a new track that expresses the frustration of it all yet can remain upbeat, fun, and positive? Then look no further than L E A’s latest track, “FTS (Sick of This),” which features viral artist, producer, and Emo Nite New Orleans DJ Bemo Rouge. “FTS (Sick of This)” combines catchy fun melodies with a boldness that makes this pop-punk track so entertaining alongside its ability to be relatable.

According to L E A,

“This song is about knowing you’re about to break into the scene as an alternative artist, getting ready to prove to people who told you you wouldn’t make it while struggling financially and mentally to balance it all alone.”

Although not everyone may relate to specifically trying to break into the music scene, it’s easy to remember those times in life when people didn’t believe in someone’s ability to succeed, just to be proven wrong. The chorus serves as a means of venting the frustrations of, “Sick of feeling so broke/ Sick of feeling like this/Sick of feelings like/ ‘Oh my god, fuck this shit.’” Despite this, there is also an uplifting reminder in the song as L E A sings, “But I’m good/ I’m better than this/ Tell me why I’m so in my head.” This song is a great reminder that while life can be difficult and full of challenges, sometimes the worst struggles anyone faces are the ones presented in their own mind.

“FTS” is reminiscent of artists such as Avril Lavigne and Magnolia Park, with its vibrant energy and rock-heavy vocals. The song begins with just the guitar and vocals but then transitions quickly into an instrumental break full of guitar shreds and punk-inspired fast-tempo drum beats. “FTS” also has a cool song ending, which adds a vocal effect to the closing singer’s vocals that slowly fade out, bringing a unique twist to the pop-punk genre.
