Kesha is BACK and stronger than ever before. After releasing her album, Gag Order, earlier this year, she offered exclusive dates to perform the songs for the first time live. We had the pleasure of joining her on the very last night of the “Only Love” tour. Wheatland’s California’s Hard Rock Live welcomed her eagerly with open arms.
It was an interesting beginning of the night, to say the least. Fans chanted the artist’s name before she rose to the stage. A spotlight fell behind a curtain to reveal a dramatic silhouette. Kesha’s movements were emphatic as she began the night with brand new single, “Only Love Can Save Us Now.”
Two backup dancers joined her on stage as the lyrics of global hit, “TiK ToK” were overwhelmed by the harmony of the audience who joined along in the production. She continued the night with a few other fan favorites before seamlessly transitioning into her newest era.
See our photos of the performance below:

“Eat The Acid” was a dramatic shift in the night’s tone. Fresh in white, ruffles, and a semi-sheer ensemble, she cut yet another dramatic silhouette as colorful light bathed her in warmth. She sat cross-legged on a marble pedestal, dramatically reaching her arms out into the crowd as they watched in awe of her movement.
From that point of the night on, the night took a more somber tone. She spoke for the first time to the crowd, thanking them for their support, and vulnerably sharing her thoughts about music, the industry, and her relief in being able to make music for herself again.
It’s been too long… I have missed the sh*t out of you all. Oh my god! That sign that says “Kesha Freed”… Y’all. I’ve never been on a tour as a free woman in my life. I just have to thank you for standing by me. We’ve been through hell and back together. This is the last night of tour, so I feel like this is a very special night…
There have been all these fine lines I’ve been trying to walk my entire life. We try to be somebody else and other people wouldn’t be happy, and I would look into the mirror and wouldn’t recognize myself. And I would think to myself: for what? Why am I trying to be someone I am not? When I finally came to the conclusion that this is who I am, this is what it is. Thank you for loving me through this process.

After she shared her thoughts, the music transitioned into a few more fan favorites. “Hate Me Harder,” “Timber,” “Your Love Is My Drug,” and “Blow” ended the evening before she joined the stage again for an encore.
“We R Who We R” ended the evening as drag queens and rainbows cascaded along the stage. Fans shouted along, and not a soul was seated.
Stay tuned for news on Kesha! Be sure to give her newest album, Gag Order, as well!
