Multifaceted pop artist, singer/songwriter, and producer Kenny Pahina collaborates with indie-pop band Newscast on a time-warped single that will transport listeners back several decades. “Moonlight” blends synth-pop with a Beach Boys-esque chorus, a late 90s Darkchild-inspired breakdown, and an 80s glam rock style guitar solo.

Kenny Pahina is reshaping Jackson, Mississippi’s pop music potential. He released his debut single, “Are You Still In Love,” in 2019. The single is the late 90s/Y2K-tinged bubblegum-teen-pop arrangement that showcases the many inspirations for his artistry and writing style. His influences include Max Martin, Timbaland, Queen, Lady Gaga, and countless others to create his unique nostalgic sounds. His work has been featured on Samsung Galaxy‘s 2020 “Awesome for Everyone” global campaign.

“Moonlight” transports listeners into a shimmery and sentimental soundscape. Filled with high-tempo production elements and upbeat vocals, the track generates unmatched energy. The overall sound exudes vibrancy and spirit that is reminiscent of old-school dancefloor beats paired with new-age vocal arrangements. It’s impossible to not get a groove going when listening to this track. It’s fun and animated in a unique way that will make you feel like your room is illuminated the way moonlight lights up the sky in the middle of the night.
