Kendrick Lamar Joins Beyoncé For “America Has A Problem” Remix
You can’t get no higher than this! Last week, Beyoncé revealed the “America Has A Problem” remix featuring rapper Kendrick Lamar. The pair previously collaborated on “Freedom” for Beyoncé’s Lemonade album in 2016 and “NILE” for The Lion King: The Gift released in 2019.

The remixed track stars the same way as the original, though Kendrick replaces Beyoncé’s first verse with his new additions. The new verse is full of new additions. The new verse contains references, with mentions of artificial intelligence, Kendrick’s record label, and the “Beyhive”, Beyoncé’s fanbase. Kendrick also makes a reference to Billboard’s list of Best Rappers of All Time, saying he’s rightfully underneath Jay-Z in the number 2 spot.
The song then continues on as the original track does, with a few adlibs from Kendrick here and there during the choruses. The new remix is obviously a smash hit, already hitting #12 on Spotify’s “Top 50 – USA” charts.
This is Kendrick’s first release this year since his 2022 album, Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers, and his second release on his record label with Dave Free, pgLang. The album followed a five-year hiatus from music and marked Kendrick’s final release under Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). Kendrick won several awards for the 2022 album, including the Grammy award for Best Rap Album. Needless to say, we’re glad Kendrick is back.
The original “America Has A Problem” received a ton of critical praise as well as a viral TikTok sound to go with it. The song was heavily popularized online by a dance trend created by dancer Joshua Guerrero, also known as “chuckygonwild” on TikTok. The sound has since received over 350,000 creates, making it one of the biggest sounds on TikTok at the moment.
