JORDYN SUGAR RELEASES HER VERY RELATABLE SINGLE “STRANGER”

Canada’s very own Jordyn Sugar released her electro pop single “Stranger” earlier this month. The new track is doing so well that it hit number one on SubmitHub for Canada’s best Indie Pop Song. “Stranger” is a lighthearted easygoing single that touches on an universal experience most people have gone through. Jordyn wanted to create a very personal relatable song about someone you were very close with has now become somebody that you used to know (wink wink). Whether it’s a family member, partner or a best friend, this song can easily identify with any situation that sees fit. The worst feeling in the world is drifting apart from someone who you thought was going to be in your life forever. She does a fantastic job conveying the message with beautiful versatile vocals. When listening to the lyrics it seems like Jordyn is trying to make sense of the unexpected fallout while trying to making peace with it and move on.

We keep on running
Endlessly falling, oh no
You’re just a stranger
A lonely friend
I used to know
