Rising pop artist, Jenny Baker, has recently taken to the social media world with the viral release teasing her latest offering, “Hate It In Here.” Now that it’s out on all listening platforms, we are here to present some details about the artist and the single!
Jenny Baker is an artist and songwriter using her eclectic pop sound to empower her listeners through the honesty and transparency of her lyrics. Her pop fusion draws inspiration from artists such as Julia Michaels and Taylor Swift, and she aims to capture universal emotions through a unique lyrical perspective.
“HATE IT IN HERE” is a call to the mental health space, but above all else it’s a vulnerable look into who Baker is as a creative and person. Hear her details on the single here:
I wrote this song last month about what it’s like living with an anxiety disorder, and had no expectation of anyone relating to it. I didn’t plan on releasing the song anytime soon, but once the verse went viral on TikTok I realized that my experiences with anxiety were actually universal in a lot of ways and I knew I had to get the song out ASAP. Seeing the response to this song has been deeply moving, and I want to continue raising awareness for anxiety and OCD by partnering the release with the International OCD Foundation. A portion of all royalties from the release will be donated, in addition to social media advocacy and education.
