Nashville-based pop artist, Jared Minnix, kicks off July with a sweetly sentimental song that simultaneously tugs on heartstrings and urges listeners to dance. His new single, “Carhartt Beanies,” is an upbeat summertime ballad about finding physical memories of a lost relationship.
A Virginia native, Jared moved to Nashville in pursuit of his passion. Under Lyrichouse Publishing‘s roster, his music has been played on national television shows such as MTV‘s Teen Mom and Siesta Keys. Jared spent his first few years as a musician on national billbaord tours as lead guitarist for rising country artists. With his extensive professional background in multiple genres, he has also co-written songs for other artists that have amassed over 40 million streams. Now focused on his own artistry, he has been able to hone in on crafting his own sound and continuing to grow both as an artist and a producer.
The opening verse sets the stage for the reflective track. As Jared pulls out recollections from his pocket, a relaxing guitar melody creates a soothing mood that reflects the waves of nostalgia. The pace picks up during the charming and catchy chorus as the song takes on brighter elements, despite the wistful lyrics of wanting to go back to the way things were. At the start of the second chorus, the song’s namesake revealed as the beginning of a trip down memory lane. The soft and light sound balances out the relatable lyrics of wanting just one more chance with someone you love or at least be able to know that your last memory was the last time. And if you had known…how would you have changed things?
