James Hype “Loses Control” With New Release
James Hype has just released his new single, “Lose Control,” through Insomniac Records. The new track samples SWV’s hit song “Rain,” released in 1998 and peaking at #7 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop charts.
The new track is definitely going to make you want to “lose control” and dance like nobody is watching. The sample combined with James Hype’s fantastic drops instantly prepares the single for club play. The song was announced on his Instagram, getting fans excited for the soon-to-be song of the summer. Fans loved the new track, claiming Hype was bringing back the classic house sound with his new single.
The English DJ with almost 800k followers on Instagram is also the founder of Stereohype, a brand and record label representing artists like Max Styler and Tita Lau. The label also has several Spotify playlists curated by James Hype, such as the “Stereohype Sounds” playlist featuring their biggest tech house artists. James Hype can be seen sporting Stereohype’s clothing pretty much any time he’s performing, making the brand practical yet still very stylish.
Besides being an incredibly talented producer, James Hype has a YouTube account where he posts his DJ sets and live streams, all reaching millions of views. He also has a series called “Moving Differently” where he chronicles the daily life of a DJ, including tour clips, time in the studio, and everything in between. James Hype has several live performances coming up, including shows at Echostage in Washington, D.C. on July 1, and Brooklyn Mirage in New York City on July 2.
