Interview with SAN ROMAN, Returning from a Multi-Year Hiatus for Her New Solo Project

Alexa San Roman is no stranger to the music industry. She realized she wanted to be a musician when she was only 15 – thanks to family influences – and taught herself to play guitar after her grandmother gifted her one for her birthday. She went on to become a guitarist and vocalist in the band Love, Robot then formed the band Heirsound. The last five years, however, saw silence from Alexa as her life became rather tumultuous as she dealt with loss of varying degrees.
Earlier this year, and much to the thrill of longtime fans, Alexa debuted her new solo project under the moniker, and her last name, SAN ROMAN. Using her music as a way to process everything happening in her life, SAN ROMAN found her way back to her initial love for music. She recently released her first solo album, MESSY, and is appreciative of the warm welcome back from listeners as well as excited to see what resonates with them in this new chapter of her musical journey.
