The new single is made for all the drama queens of the world. It’s an empowering new anthem all about taking up space, being your most authentic self, and becoming the center of attention. It inspires any listener to put themselves first and not let anyone steal their spotlight. Menzel has also spoken on the song, dedicating it to those wanting to embrace their inner drama queen.

“I’m so thrilled that the first single, “Move”, is coming in time for Pride Month. It’s a celebration of love in all its forms. The LGBTQIA+ community has always been so inspiring for me–watching friends and fans live so courageously, so authentically.”

– Idina Menzel

The new single showcases Menzel’s signature belts while also showing a new side of the performer who wants to do nothing but dance. The song utilizes some hallmarks of the disco genre combined with modern pop music to create the perfect lead single for the new dance project.

Idina Menzel’s Drama Queen will be a nine-track LP produced alongside big names in music like Sir Nolan, Justin Tranter, and Simon Wilcox. One of the tracks, “Paradise” features Nile Rodgers of CHIC, best known for hits like “Le Freak”, “Good Times”, and “I Want Your Love”. With big names like this on the upcoming album, it’s sure to be a hit.
