Get ready for the party of the year! Iceland Airwaves has just announced the second wave of artists for its 25th anniversary. From November 7-9th, downtown Reykjavik will transform into a vibrant music haven.
Iceland Airwaves isn’t just any music festival. It’s a testament to 25 years of Iceland’s dynamic creative scene. Following their partnership with Keychange in 2018, they pride themselves in their inclusive and diverse community.
It’s the worlds most northerly music festival, and Iceland Airwaves does not disappoint. Reykjavik turns into a musical playground for three days and nights. The festival’s roots date back to 1999. Now it’s Iceland’s longest-running festival and a cornerstone of Reykjavik’s cultural calendar.
A peak of last year’s activities!
Leading the charge in the newly announced lineup is Overmono, the Welsh electronic music duo made up of brothers; Tom and Ed Russell. Famous for their innovate blend of techno, they deliver high-energy, killer performances. On the other end of the genre spectrum yet equally danceable is the English indie rock band, The Vaccines.
Additionally, this year, Iceland Airwaves is diving into hyper-pop. Filling that role is the high-energy New York-based Chinese artist, Alice Longyu Gao. She will light up the stage with her vibrant personality and catchy hooks. Following her lead is Lynks, a British dance sensation that is sure to rock your socks off. Their performances are a vibrant mix of energetic dance routines and self-made masked costumes. A true party for everyone to enjoy.
