Haute & Freddy Take San Francisco in their Theatrical “Tiny Grand Tour”

Haute & Freddy are climbing the ranks since debuting a sound that meets 80s glam pop with a little extra modern sparkle. We slotted ourselves in to witness them live in San Francisco, and not to mention, their very first headlining tour.

San Francisco’s charming Cafe Du Nord, nestled in the Mason district underground, featured a packed crowd and a few local acts – as well as their special guest, Jack Powers, to fill out the night with a theatrical showcase of talent.

Haute & Freddy recited an introductory speech before gracing the stage, met with a roar of applause. They played “Anti-Superstar” and “Fashion Over Function” before teasing some new music. Haute’s vocals cascaded across the stage to a minimal backtrack as Freddy enthusiastically played their drum kit. Fan favorites of the night included “Sophie,” “Freaks,” and the final track, “Shy Girl.”

It’s not too often where a crowd was louder than the music; and several moments throughout the night, it was exactly so. And there’s a sense that everyone in attendance had while watching: Haute & Freddy may very well take over the industry’s headspace quite soon.

Yet to release an album, the project has amassed a cult following and over 700k monthly listeners on Spotify alone. Each tune makes their points clear: embrace being yourself and have as much fun as you can while doing it.

What we know for sure: we’re excited to see where Haute & Freddy goes next. Stay tuned for updates!
