1. “Best Kept Secret” – Sedona
Warm, intimate and laid-back, our selection starts off with “Best Kept Secret” by LA singer-songwriter Sedona. Her heartfelt vocals are complemented by subtle acoustic guitar lines to create an intricate soundscape of emotion. “Today, songs often feel rushed, much like our way of living,” Sedona shares. “[. . .] That’s what ‘Best Kept Secret’ is all about – those small, freeing moments, like washing someone-you-love’s face in the morning sun.” Looking ahead, “Best Kept Secret” will be featured on the indie artist’s forthcoming debut album, Getting Into Heaven.
2. “hate it” – Chloe Moriondo
Up next is “hate it” by Michigan-native Chloe Moriondo, an infectious indie-pop anthem that explores the feelings of hatred and jealousy that can arise from a hopeless crush. The track is built upon a web of dance-pop synths, ethereal vocals and obsessive lyrics like, “Everybody wants you / I don’t blame them / Everybody wants to be your favorite / Wanna wear your body and trade places.” The new single can be found on Moriondo’s highly anticipated album, oyster, out March 28, 2025. 3. “I Wish You Were Dead” – Lacuna Coil
Italian metal band Lacuna Coil has released their newest gothic single, “I Wish You Were Dead.” The fire-infused track features angsty, resonant vocals, driving rock rhythms and riveting synth effects. “We all have this person we wish never existed, right?” the band explains. “We all felt the need to erase the same person from our thoughts, someone who hurt us that it’s still in our mind. We wanted to write heavier lyrics on a happier musical canvas.” If you’re feeling particularly angry at your opps today, then this song is perfect for you.
4. “Angie” – spill tab
