Check out these hip-hop/rap heaters from BreezyLYN, RiTchie and more!
1. “JOHN CENA” – Joey Valence & Brae
The alternative punk-rap duo Joey Valence & Brae comes back with skull-rattling slapper, “JOHN CENA.” Inspired by the cultural icon of a wrestler, the song is inspired by confidence, rage, and giving an Attitude Adjustment to anyone standing in the way. Combining a fusion of 90s breakbeats and Beastie Boys, the track is arrogantly good in a way that challenges the established conventions of current rap.
2. “Looping” – RiTchie
From the hip-hop group Injury Reserve, RiTchie makes waves with song “Looping.” The song has a dazed execution, leading listeners to get swept up the same emotive way the singer is. He openly expresses the anxiety he faces, combined with the dose of vertigo the song leaves you with, showing the heavy sensation RiTchie feels whenever it’s time to make a new song.
3. “Long Time No See” – Arz
Arz, one of the UK’s latest up-and-coming artists, finds himself in his song “Long Time No See.” Rapping over the production of El Londo, Arz reminiscences of the year’s past and finds himself wondering where his loved ones all went. The production is perfect for the introspective of the rapper, the chill beats helping him find his motive.
4. “Freaky” – BreezyLYN
The Hood Mona Lisa is back with another heater, making head turns with “Freaky.” BreezyLYN is not shy when it comes to saying what she wants, and expresses that warningly with the track. Challenging her partner to show his sexual prowess, BreezyLYN is more than willing to show she can go toe-to-toe with him any day, all over a banging beat produced by Diego Ave.
5. “WIPED” – Lil Dann feat. Lil Yachty
Lil Dann teams up with rap extraordinaire Lil Yachty for track, “WIPED.” Lil Dann, one of Atlanta’s hottest rappers, makes it known he’s one to look out for. The song serving as a warning for anyone looking to test him, he raps alongside Lil Yachty for a bouncy track to resurrect Atlanta’s rap scene.
