Pop sensation Katy Perry is having quite the celebratory year. Her first three albums for Capitol Records, One Of The Boys, Teenage Dream, and PRISM mark notable anniversaries this year. In commemoration, Perry is releasing the Katy Perry CATalog Collector’s Edition Box Set. As Capitol Records’ highest-selling female artist, this release is sure to spark nostalgic love and modern excitement for Perry’s colorful repertoire. The artistic vinyls and fun extra features allow fans to harness a special connection to her iconic early work.
On October 20th, the new vinyl edition album set will be available at retailers everywhere. The set is exquisitely presented, so be sure to pre-order the limited edition set exclusively at Katy’s online store before they’re gone. Inside, each album is paired with keepsakes and previously unseen images from the respective record photo shoots. She is also releasing CATalog-themed fan packs and t-shirts, as well as teaming up with Urban Outfitters for another special edition color of the vinyl set, sold solely at Urban Outfitters.
15 years ago, Katy released her firecracker debut, One Of The Boys. The breakthrough album, went triple Platinum in the U.S. and brought us some of our favorite Katy classics, such as “Hot n Cold” and “I Kissed A Girl.” She introduced an impeccable ability to bring a rich fantasy to life with distinct, vivid vocals and an appreciated lyrical wit. This 15th Anniversary Edition is pressed on a cloudy blue sky vinyl, plus a bonus 7” of “A Cup of Coffee” and “I Think I’m Ready” over an opaque violet vinyl. New cover art is featured, and a fun 2024 calendar is included. For the very first time, fans can digitally download the two bonus tracks!
Teenage Dream officially becomes a teenager this month, and will be receiving an apt celebration. Perry’s sophomore album is regarded as one of the greatest pop albums of all time, and with the title track going 8x Platinum, Teenage Dream rushed her into what the RIAA recognized as the highest-certified era of any artist ever. Teenage Dream Teenager Edition includes the original album on red and white peppermint “pinwheel” vinyl, featuring bonus tracks from The Complete Confection and a 24” poster.
Finally, PRISM, now a decade old, brought us powerful songs such as “Dark Horse” and “Roar.” This fruitful album soared to 5x Platinum status, topping the charts and continuing Perry’s ascent in pop music. The PRISM 10th Anniversary Edition contains the original album on a gorgeous “prismatic splatter” vinyl, with three bonus tracks and a 12-page deluxe photo book.
