Denmark’s famous Roskilde Festival is about to return, once again uniting music, art and activism.

With a legacy of more than 50 years, Northern Europe’s largest and most influential non-profit festival, Roskilde, returns for its 2025 iteration from June 28 to July 5. Once again, the event is set to exceed a regular music event. With the support of 30,000 volunteers and organized by the Roskilde Festival Charity Society, all profits are donated to charitable organizations, with a focus on benefiting children and young people. With a lineup that leaves nothing to be desired, the festival promises to be a historic one. Among the artists who will set the festival ablaze is the British producer, singer and dancer FKA Twigs. Using the futuristic sounds of her latest album Eusexua, she is set to treat us to one of the most visionary works of art in the scene today.

Furthermore, Anohni and the Johnsons will highlight urgent themes such as queer identity, domestic violence, social inequality, war, and the climate crisis, using their unique voice and impressive performance.

About these new entries to the lineup, the Head of Music at Roskilde, Thomas Sønderby Jepsen says,

“FKA Twigs and Anohni and the Johnsons each possess an extraordinary ability to craft groundbreaking music that resonates with both devoted music fans and wider audiences. FKA Twigs is one of the most innovative artists today, and her performance is sure to be mesmerizing. Anohni and the Johnsons deliver intense, unforgettable live experiences while also highlighting important social issues—values we share.”

Moreover, we can look forward to the highly anticipated Knocked Loose, Bright Eyes, Omar S, Tierra Whack and more to grace the stage of Rockslide in form of pioneer and exclusive one-off performances. Reinforcements from all over the globe include Japanese singer-songwriter Fujii Kaze, Malian band Al Bilali Soudan and Nigerian Afrobeat-singer Oxlade.

On top of that, we advise that you prepare to be knocked out of your shoes by the epic team up that is the Norwegian feminist black metal collective Witch Club Satan with Danish doom rave band John Cxnnor. Together they promise to take us on a journey through their trance-inducing worlds of ancient witch rituals and black metal fury.

Using the power of collaboration, community, and music’s transformative power, the Danish singer-songwriter duo Big Fan are set to deliver a boundary-pushing post-rock experience, making for an unforgettable night.

With talents such as Grammy Award nominee Doechii and internationally acclaimed artist Lola Young at the forefront of the lineup, Rockslide once again proves that it is constantly on the bleeding edge of modern music.

“Roskilde Festival is not only about showcasing today’s best music; it is also about offering our participants a glimpse into the future. Artists like Doechii, Shaboozey, and Lola Young represent the next wave of global stars, and we are proud to be part of their journey as they shape the future of music.”

True to their long-standing relationship with the festival, the legendary industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails will absolutely rock Roskilde! Presenting iconic tracks like “Closer” and “Hurt,” their performance promises to be one for the history books.

“Roskilde Festival’s long-standing relationship with Nine Inch Nails exemplifies our commitment to celebrating artists who push boundaries and define entire genres. Their live performances are legendary, almost transformative, and their return will undoubtedly be one of the standout moments this summer.”
