Forever’s Round The Bend In Ohly’s ‘Maybe It’s You’

Finding the right one is never easy. It’s a challenge for those who are willing and not for the faint of heart. But then are moments when destiny steps in and surprises the unassuming ones. Often occurring to the ones who aren’t looking. Love knocks on their front doors or better yet make an appearance in places such as parks, restaurants, church etc.

Sure, we can argue that these are spots in town that we usually hang out in. We could also add that it’s the same old same old. But it is with this simpleness that love speaks to us the loudest. Much like how Christian Ohly aka ‘Ohly’ illustrates it beautifully in his first single ‘Maybe It’s You’. Released March 10th in all major streaming platforms as part of his upcoming album. This track tells the tale of Julia and Ohly’s chance encounter at a bar.

Strangers, both had different depositions. Ohly was eager and persistent, whilst Julia wanted out (of the bar) because of emotional woes. Even so, as if by stroke of Cupid himself the two came together and talked the night away. From then on, what was supposedly a few hours of being together turned into days. Now that they’ve been in each others company and enjoying their adventures. Perhaps there’s also that possibility of forever “Maybe it could be you. We could be alright.” as the lyrics would say. He also reveals that she “…came out of the blue and brought me into the light”. Ahh sweet love! Both entered each others lives at the right place and the right time.

Filled to the brim with unwavering emotions, and undeniable talent. Ohly’s distinct vocals, peppy instrumentals and expert storytelling makes us swoon at every turn. Providing us an exquisite simulation of how they feel right now. In addition, it serves as a reminder that love is fleeting. So seize every second and use that as an opportunity to profess your undying admiration may it be through actions or words – “Maybe it’s you. You gave me something to write.”.
