Forest Blakk’s “Give You Love” Out Now
With the weather getting warmer, and summer inching closer. It feels like everything around us is already gearing up to embrace the sunny season. A time to enjoy, go on trips (lucky if you do) but most importantly frolic around with family and friends till you drop. Ahh fun times!
Music is no exception though, because they too have their own way of bringing on the heat. In fact, as we speak artists big or small have started bringing out their summer bests for 2022. Mostly danceable tunes to keep our bodies moving and writhing under the sunlight. But then there are the likes of Canadian musician extraordinaire Forest Blakk, comparable to a soft sea breeze stroking our cheeks with the song “Give You Love”. A seemingly gentle reminder to take it slow every now and then because you might just miss the beauty of life.
Released last May 20th via the Warner Music Group. This 2 minute and 51 second track of pure delight, is available in all major platforms. Bundled with it is a lyric video that will surely take you back to memory lane. More specifically, back in the arms of someone you’ve loved or currently do. Heads gently nestled into each other, whispering sweet nothings as the world passes by ever so slowly.
As for the song itself, as much as it invokes that warm sunshiny summer, we all adore. It also tackles the little things that occur in between like the people in our lives and the intricate relationships that come with it. Sure, some of them might come and go like a bullet train (at times) or a metro rail. Yet there will also be ones who’ll stay and stick around glue and see it through. Which is great, but with it comes the challenge of accepting them for who they truly are. Loving them as is and welcoming of the notion that they too are growing next to you. “Give me sunshine or give me darkness. Darlin, you can give me anything you want… I will give you love.”.
A timeless track in the making, “Give You Love” is a testament of Forest Blakk’s mastery in music. Sure, he’s had a 2021 hit “If You Love Her” which amassed over 250 million total global streams. Not to mention the honor and prestige that comes with all such as earning a certified gold in US, debuting on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart, being highlighted as one of People Magazine’s talented emerging artists making their mark on the musical landscape” and deemed an “artist on the rise” by Billboard and so much more. While all these are flattering and jaw dropping all at the same time. It is undeniable that beneath all these accolades, is a genuine person with rich stories to tell. That in itself is more than enough to drop whatever we’re doing and pay attention to this Canadian rising star.
See y’all on the flip side!
