Fletcher’s Futuristic Music Video For the Catchy Single “Becky’s So Hot”

Musician and queer icon Fletcher has no problem creating music and art about her ex, even if it’s about how her ex’s new girlfriend is hot. “Becky’s So Hot” directly states Fletcher’s feelings for her ex’s girlfriend, especially in the chorus, “If I were you, I’d probably keep her/ Makes me wanna hit her when I see her/ ‘Cause Becky’s so hot in your vintage t-shirt.” It’s a fun catchy song full of intense guitar riffs, and heavy beats, that all build up to the climax of the song which showcases Fletcher’s vocal talent.

Along with the single, Fletcher dropped a music video for “Becky’s So Hot,” directed by Millicent Hailes and co-starring Bella Thorne as “Becky.” The video starts off in Fletcher’s bedroom, before switching to her fantasy of speeding through the city on a motorcycle with “Becky.” Told through this series of vignettes that lead to the reveal of the star of Fletcher’s affection, the moody futurism of the music video for “Becky’s So Hot” was inspired by Blade Runner 2049.
