Beginning in November, the multi-platinum hard rock band Five Finger Death Punch will be partnering with the nonprofit organization Covenant House in support of their Youth Homelessness Awareness Month campaign. Covenant House runs shelters in 34 cities across five countries in order to provide aid to young people facing homelessness. With this collaboration, a portion of ticket sales for Five Finger Death Punch’s upcoming 2024 world tour will be directly funding the organization.
The proceeds will financially assist Covenant House with its youth programs, ranging from mental health services and healthcare to education and employment. Ivan Moody, the vocalist of FFDP, recently opened two homes for rehabilitation, addressing addiction and mental health disorders. Moody is a firm believer in giving back to his community, having struggled on and off for years with similar issues. He is familiar with both experiencing such circumstances and helping others through them.
The partnership with Covenant House will allow Moody and the rest of the band to continue with their community outreach. Moody says, “Many of our songs and music videos speak directly to the issues being addressed by Covenant House. Our commitment to donating to support their programs and using our platform to raise awareness perfectly aligns with the band’s and our fans’ values.”
Bill Bedrossian, CEO and President of Covenant House, expresses enthusiasm for their collaboration, stating, “We are so grateful to the band and their entire team for supporting the young people served by Covenant House.” Bedrossian recognizes the significance of the organization’s mission to FFDP, emphasizing Moody’s personal connection to the matter: “It is clear that youth homelessness and its connections to foster care and human trafficking are deeply personal to the band. By using their voice to raise awareness about these critical issues, to their vast audience, so many will benefit from knowing there is a community of support, partnering with Covenant House to address the needs of young people experiencing homelessness in the Americas.”
The band urges fans to visit the Covenant House website for more information about the organization, or the webpage dedicated to this collaboration. The FFDP tour spans across Europe and North America, starting in May 2024.
