According to Morgan St. Jean’s bio, “the more glamorous women happen to be the toughest. The brighter they shine, the more attitude they exude” (1). Nothing could be more fitting for the young woman brimming with confidence and a glowing smile.

Not thirty minutes longer than my latest brush with a creep following me from my car, I met with this Los Angeles local, where we chatted together of our frustrations in the standards held upon women, the awful normality in being objectified or stared at, and the walking red flags that we tend to ignore for the sake of loneliness and longing for companionship. It must have been fate.

All of our conversation had much to do with her single, “Red Flag.” Morgan St. Jean’s unfiltered lyrics grace through her presence and her demeanor, blending glamor with grit.

Fired up from my recent experience, her confidence charged me up and her passions inspired. I left the chat with her feeling full again.
