Exclusive Interview: Catie Turner Talks on Latest Single, “Nothing”

We met with critically-acclaimed, multi-million streaming singer-songwriter, Catie Turner, about her newest single, “Nothing,” and her growing and shaping of her music journey throughout the course of the last couple of years. The single, released on March 25th, follows the heartbreaking breakthrough hit, “God Must Hate Me,” which proved a viral phenomenon upon its November 2021 release and reached critical acclaim. On the new track, Catie shared her thoughts:

Ok…I am an overthinking, overwhelmed musician with a talent in overcomplicating situations. I wrote “Nothing” after a very ordinary conversation with a friend, where they were telling me how they started a running regime. I started going on about how I wish I could run, and how I wish I could wake up at 6 am, and they replied, straight to the point: “you know, you always could do that”. And just like that, I realized that my love language is complaining and doing everything I can to make life harder for myself comes like a breeze to my brain. I hope you like it, and that if you, too, are a procrastinator/bullshitter like I am, this can be your anthem.

During our interview, we chatted with her about the single, and what she has to offer next; including possibly picking up guitar and starting her own girl-band. Check it out in full below!
