Everyone Listen To Saint Motel Now
Music fans embrace!!! Saint Motel return to the scene with the release of their bangin’ new single “Everyone’s A Guru Now,” via Elektra Records. It is the band’s comeback since the release of their 2021 studio album The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.
We are introduced to the song through striking piano notes as they build up and later accompanied by a dynamic orchestra, braggadocious brass, and dramatic harmonies created by a choir backing. The theatrical elements of the song are elevated as A/J Jackson channels his inner Broadway diva.

While promoting the song, Jackson revealed it was inspired by people’s tendencies of reinventing themselves.
“The song started out with this tipsy piano saunter and grew from there. Around the time I was writing the song, a lot of people I knew had been reinventing themselves as “experts” and creating personas and courses. Perhaps some of that rubbed off on the lyrical matter. In the final phases of the song production, it ended up being a matter of what elements we could take away from the song and still let it stand. Very excited to send this song off into the world!”

The song has the sensibilities of a musical showtune. For example, it can be used as the protagonist’s main entrance into the world.
Saint Motel consists of vocalist Jackson, guitarist Aaron Sharp, bassist Dak Lerdamornpong, and drummer Greg Erwin. The band traces their beginnings to Los Angeles while attending film school together. The group released their debut album Voyeur in 2012. Two years later, Elektra Records signed them, and they released their EP My Type, with the titular track becoming gold-certified and appearing in the film Paper Towns (2015.)
Saint Motel have been known for creating innovative visuals for their set, such as augmented reality, where they have been shown in music festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza. In addition, they have performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and the TODAY show. In addition, the quartet earned critical acclaim from magazines like Billboard and People.
