Here is what Erin LeCount has to say about the single,
808 HYMN was written after a long walk home in the dark, glitter under eyes and a heartbeat in my chest that felt like an 808 kick drum with the feeling I was being followed. A tempo to run to, a reflection on the age you grow up and realize the moon doesn’t follow you home but something else may, and that if it comes down to it, it’s you, gritted teeth and car keys between fists.

Onto the track itself, “808 Hymn” is a dark, pulsing track that shifts fear into art. Mixing lush strings with 808 beats, LeCount captures the tension of walking home alone and the heartbeat-like rhythm of anxiety. Her vocals move between delicate and fiery, carrying lyrics that shift from comfort and innocence to full-blown terror. It’s haunting, honest, and proof of her strength as both a songwriter and producer.
