The famous rapper, Marshall Mathers also known as, Eminem just dropped a surprise album on January 16th, 2020. Eminem has been in the music industry for over twenty years, yet continues to still shock everyone with his lyrics. The rapper released his new album called, “Music To Be Murdered By” and this album is full of surprises lyrically and with featured artist. In all of the songs Eminem has ever put out he never fails to be real and honest when it comes to lyrics. He typically writes about things he’s been through or stuff going on around him like most artist do. Some people say his voice just sounds so mad, but he’s just going so hard in his songs. This album contains a lot of lyrics talking about real world problems and Eminem has always been one to stay true to voicing his opinions on those kind of topics. In the past he has rapped about his drug addiction, love, and being the best in the game. The Detroit rapper came from nothing to making his way in the industry for years now with fire lyrics. Some of the lyrics also include rap battles against other artist. Eminem has a song on the album called, “Unaccommodating” two lyrics in this song include him ending a rap battle with Machine Gun Kelly and being on top again in the hip/hop music industry. These lyrics prove Eminem is officially back by saying, “But when they ask me, is the war finished with MGK? Of course it is,” then raps. “I cleansed him of his mortal sins, I’m God and the Lord forgives.” Eminem continues to put the raft on other rappers who he’s had beef with. In this song he says, “Better watch for Slim, gonna get to popping when I’m at the top again. These insane fire lyrics never fail to grab people’s attention and blast the music world.
When Eminem dropped the surprise album there is a song called, “Darkness” which is about shootings and how it’s a problem in the world. In the song the background has sirens, voices screaming, and new reports of shootings. He has always voiced about struggles or any type of problems he feels about. Towards the end of the song there are new reports being talked about from shooting that have happened. Eminem has never been the one to care about what people think, or what they have to say about him. The rapper calls in the video for there to be more gun control, which is him just rapping about this major issue in today’s world.

Eminem’s album is expected to debut at No. 1 with 325k units sold. This will make him the first and only artist to earn ten consecutive No. 1 debuts in U.S. history. He would have the No. 1 album in three different decades, and top three in four different decades. These famous albums are, The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, Recovery, and Music to Be Murdered By.” He continues to surprise us all and never fails to show out other artist, but also this album contains a lot of mentions of artist. The rapper brings in his friends from Detroit in a couple of songs who are, Royce da 5’9″ and Q-Tip who have also appeared on previous albums.
This new album has a lot of good songs and some of the favorites are, “Lock It Up” and “Godzilla.” Both are these songs included versus by Anderson .Paak and Juice WRLD who are very talented artist. Juice WRLD passed in December of 2019 suddenly and he had such a raw talent. The song “Godzilla” appears the first posthumous lyrics from the rapper and this really seemed to touch the fans. Juice WRLD once made a great comment about Eminem. “All his old sh**. That’s like a part of who I am. I wouldn’t be who I am today without Eminem’s music,” says Juice WRLD. Their song together is now top 10 on Spotify in 25 countries worldwide. Eminem knocks out 229 words in 30 seconds on the song. He also raps 11.3 syllables per second and out performs “Majesty” and “Rap God” on the verse in his rapping speed.
The day “Music To Be Murdered By“ surprisingly dropped, Eminem was the No. 1 artist on Spotify with 66.7 million streams. The 11th studio album of Eminem was produced by, Aftermath Entertainment and Shady records and also Dr. Dre had to do some of the producing on this album.
