With soul, jazz, hip hop, and funk blends, “PXLMTREES Vol. 1” is an EP of the decade. Music lovers and fans can dive deep into the sounds brought by K+Lab.
With flare and flavor, the EP kicks off with “Blue Skies.” K+Lab makes the song feel like its title. It starts with a harmonic melody and transforms into its chorus. The song continues to have a cool and funky vibe, never straying from its roots. “Top Of The Block” takes on a chill vibe with softer beats and accompaniments. The next song, “Record I Wrote,” is similar, except it tunes into piano sequences and core within its composition. It feels like you’re in the room itself—an intergalactic experience. “Doped Up” is energizing and starts with excitement. It continues to stay constant throughout the whole track, which grounds listeners to the end. K+Lab sourced his inspiration from self-discovery and experimenting. He wanted to make “PXLMTRRES, Vol. 1” intimate and natural.
