Massively increasing in size for 2023 after a successful 2022 showing, Elements Music and Arts Festival threw a beautifully curated and intimate festival that surpassed expectations. With multiple genres represented across four main stages and artists including Subtronics, John Summit, Skrillex, Porter Robinson and many more, Elements was certainly a delight for the senses. Going late into the night, the party continued well on into the morning with soundcamps set up across the camping grounds, and even John Summit made an appearance.
Located at the Pocono Mountain Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania and running from August 11th to the 14th with a pre-party on the tenth, Elements drastically altered the setup of the festival compared to 2022. With larger stages and the addition of the Wub Hub stage in the woods, attendees had a plethora of options to choose from depending on the environment they sought. The Wub Hub stage was my personal favorite, its location in the woods combined with the experience of standing right in front of the speakers and stand directly in front of the artist playing was amazing. With stages sheltered in the woods and out in the open air, festival goers had the option to lounge in hammocks and other seating options and indulge in the music. Elements also included multiple art installations and interactive experiences such as Frick Frack Blackjack and yoga. The amount of options for entertainment were endless, and my personal favorite thing to do was stop off between sets and do something not music related.
Despite facing issues with weather on several days, including the evacuation of the festival on Saturday night for a brief period, the rest of the festival went off without a hitch. The production was immaculate, with each stage featuring unique elements that cultivated an experience unlike any other. Each artist produced a fantastic set and many attendees were claiming that 2023 was the best Elements yet. With the festival being such a success this year, next year will surely bring even bigger and better things, and with just under a year to go the countdown to Elements 2024 begins.
