Eden Rain does it all in “Figure It Out.” The artist’s latest alt-pop single, released yesterday, is a song that will stick with you through late nights and daylight alike.
I see this song as the ultimate drunken night out anthem. I hope it’s playing in a late-night kebab shop somewhere, the soundtrack to someone dropping their cheesy chips on the floor.

Eden’s vocals shine on this single, in both dynamic crescendos and fast-paced rhythms. Urgency and drive have you hooked in to listen, with a catchy cadence to match. Brimming with passion, is perfect for singing your heart out to a relatable track.
Characterized by chaos, “Figure It Out” covers the whirlwinds of emotions faced when trying to sort things out, even if it’s not pretty. To actually figure it out is no simple feat: Eden circles between love and hate, desiring to make amends versus calling it quits.

No going back — do we have to make it painful?
Eden revealed that writing “Figure It Out” with two of her favorite writers, Jack and Conway, felt like a “fever dream.” The trio reimagined unused lyrics and “stupid ideas” to make something new.
Looking back, I think I put some really raw feelings into this song because I didn’t actually think we’d release it. But it’s stuck with me since January, and it’s such a messy, drunken rant. It captures that feeling of being in a fight and saying things just to hurt the other person, even if you don’t mean them.

This year already, Eden has released hits “Great Nothing,” “Palo Alto,” and “Closer.” “Figure It Out” adds another quality song to the roster. Beyond the studio, the indie, alt-pop artist opened for Lola Young and Hannah Jagadu, as well as performing her own sets this summer festival season.
