Known for his incredible voice, talent to develop melodies, and heartfelt lyrics, Dominik Klein reminds us that we should break down the walls that exist between ourselves and others in an effort to understand each other more completely. “Borders” was released in January 2021, but still serves as a relevant reminder today and all days.

Dominik Klein is a pop singer/songwriter who began to explore his musical talents in his early teens, playing guitar and covering and recording songs by his favorite pop artists. In school, he struggled to fit in because he was a quiet kid who loved to sing, making him a target for bullying. He was able to find an escape from the stress of those experiences thorugh his music, which he began sharing on YouTube and his social media platforms, eventually gaining an international fanbase. He went on to play gigs in London, Denmark, and Germany and has also performed at large arenas like the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin and the Jyske Bank Arena in Denmark. He has been featured on international TV, performing during the IHF Men’s World Championship, and released his debut EP, Reflections, in July 2021. He shares,

I love how powerful music is. Music connects people. That is what I really want when I make music – I want to connect people through my songs.

In a deeply poetic way, “Borders” is about the connection that Dominik seeks to build between his listeners and the fanbase. A heartfelt piano ballad with passionate melodies and swelling vocals, the track carries a meaningful message about connection – reaching beyond what we’re comfortable with to make a change for those who may need it. Belting out a catchy and heartwarming chorus, Dominik reminds us that we are all capable of breaking down the borders that separate us from those around us to develop those kinships that ultimately enhance the human experience. “Borders” is a much-needed reminder of the commonalities that string us together in times that may feel more frantic and divisive than ever.
