Des Rocs Releases Emotional New Single “Nowhere Kid” and Announces Album Release

Rock musician Des Rocs released his newest single “Nowhere Kid,” a powerful anthem that encapsulates what it feels like to be alienated and alone. This song follows his previous release, the widely successful song “Never Ending Moment,” both of which will be featured on his upcoming album Dream Machine which is set to release on August 25.

“Nowhere Kid” combines Des Rocs’ respect and appreciation for the legends of rock that he grew up listening to with his own unique alternative twist. His deeply emotional vocals combine with an intense choral and instrumental background that comes together to form a cathartic musical experience. All of this is intermixed with powerful guitar chords and drum solos that remind listeners that at the end of the day, Des Rocs’ is a longtime fan of classic rock.

The song grapples with conflicting emotions of loneliness and trying to figure out one’s identity. “There was this constant inner-monologue that ran in circles around who I was versus who I wanted to be,” said Des Rocs. “I hope ‘Nowhere Kid’ can be a beacon to guide those struggling with a dreadful sense of solitude out of their darkness.”

“Dream Machine is an album that embodies the dreams of that little kid standing in front of the TV watching Queen at Wembley. Dream Machine is a vessel.”

The release of Dream Machine will follow up Des Roc’s debut album A Real Good Person In A Real Bad Place, which was released in 2021 to widespread critical acclaim. The musician has never been shy about his influences in classic rock. “I grew up worshiping the enormous scale of rock n roll,” said Des Rocs. “I was obsessed with the awesome spectrum of people it could unite.” Des Rocs has quickly been able to cultivate a distinct rock sound that blends his influences with a variety of other styles like punk and alternative to create a sound that is completely his own.

Make sure to pre-order Dream Machine here and catch him on his headlining summer tour!
