Deepend reinvents SAINT PHNX’s moving single, “Happy Place,” with passionate new remix!

On September 17, Dutch DJ Deepend remixed the intrepid Glasgow-based brother duo SAINT PHNX’s single, “Happy Place,” via Atlantic Records.

The rising brother duo originally released the original track as an ode to their father earlier last year on July. Having toured with YUNGLBUD, Imagine Dragons, Lewis Capaldi and more, SAINT PHNX has now tapped Dutch DJ Deepend for an energetic and exciting spin on the record.

Deepend has remixed superstars like Ava Max and Robin Shultz and boasts hundreds of millions of worldwide streams. A Glasgow-based brother duo, SAINT PHNX released their Atlantic Records debut single in July. The uplifting and emotional ode to their late father, “Happy Place,” garnered widespread acclaim from American Songwriter, FLAUNT and more.

“Happy Place,” written during a difficult period during the brothers’ life, when their father was succumbing to terminal illness, pays homage to the duo’s biggest supporter. Over delicately-plucked acoustic guitar, the first lyric croons, “Over the hills and far away, looking out for a better day. When it seems like there’s no escape, take me to my happy place.” As the beat kicks in, the song builds towards an anthemic and rousing chant.

For the brother-duo, their relationship drives the creative sound of SAINT PHNX. Stevie and Alan Jukes are innately connected, by blood and by inspiration, and so that mutuality informs the pair’s skyscraping alternative pop sound. Characterized by towering hooks, eloquent songcraft, and energetic instrumentation, SAINT PHNX gathered tens of millions of streams, touring with some of the biggest bands in the world, receiving acclaim from Clash, Alternative Press, and more.

“For us, everything stems from the fact we’re brothers,” Stevie comments. “We’re always fooling around and having fun. It’s the same for anybody who has siblings, cousins, or friends. It all comes down to camaraderie. We’re thankful to have a really tight family.”

“And that’s the most important thing,” agrees Alan.
