Leave it up to Global Dance to turn the Denver Convention Center-a venue more commonly known for hosting fossil and gem trade shows-into one of the most hype giga-warehouse rave spots of NYE 2019. The arena was packed to the brim with massive floating sculptures, an illuminated mushroom forest, and floating LED beams that seemed to move with the bass.
The Day 1 lineup was STACKED!! With 15 artists playing on 2 stages throughout the night, any EDM fan could have found a style to vibe with. Tiësto brought the euro club energy to Denver and blasted the audience with strobes, lasers and smoke in an amazing 90 minute set. Clozee and Jai Wolf combined chill vibes with some spicy drops, producing some of the most feel good vibes of the year. It probably goes without saying, but Bassnectar absolutely shredded in his 9th Decadence show. Bassnectar and the Decadence sound system was a match made in heaven, you could feel the bass reverberating throughout your entire body from 100 rows back–it was unreal.
Gigantic NGHTMRE put on one of the most eclectic shows of the night, the insanely hard music we’ve come to love from NGHTMRE was juxtaposed perfectly by the dynamic sax and drum duo of Big Gigantic. The night finished off with a bang as the French boys, Tchami and Malaa played their second show of the night-(they played at 9pm in Arizona then flew to Denver for a 2am set time!)
Day 1 was another fantastic production by the Global Dance team, leaving much excitement for the arguably more epic night 2, sending us off into 2020 with a bang! The packed day 2 lineup includes performances by Rezz, Zeds Dead, Steve Aoki, Dj Diesel, Slander and many more! Tickets are still on sale, so if you’re in Denver and want to attend the most hype NYE party in the State, get on over to Decadence!!
