Dance Till You Pop With Ian Abel’s ‘Drowning’
Drowning is never a good thing. Often associated with accidents and deaths, it highlights the reality that we don’t own our lives. As easy as it was given, it could be yanked from us just like that. Thus, it strikes fear in the hearts of many to the point of having nightmares about it. For those who’ve lived to tell the tale, it’s sheer memory haunts them on a constant basis.
But just like a coin being tossed in the air by DC’s Harvey Dent aka Two-Face, there’s a flip side to it all. Which can be felt in queer NYC artist Ian Abel’s latest single entitled ‘Drowning’. Released May 26th in all major streaming platforms worldwide, it’s a danceable track that tackles the indulgent side of drowning. Bombastic and fancy at every turn, it shows us the raunchy and messy ways of the world. How easy it is to get sucked in and spiral around in ecstasy. To drown and give in to it all without even noticing. Truly there’s some fun to be had – the dangerous type that is.
With a voice so smooth and instrumentals that get you in a trance, Ian Abel’s ‘Drowning’ is a modern day siren’s song. It effortlessly reels us in, and takes over our senses giving us these electric sensations. Even though it has a dark and naughty message, it has this aura of inescapable warmth. A friendly invitation to a vibrantly extravagant party on the edge of nowhere. Needless to say, it’s a tempting piece of music that we all need to experience. Therefore worthy of a spot in our personal playlists, and a must play when we’re feeling incredibly spicy (wink wink).
