Emily Sheier, aka MLE, has just dropped her second single “Come Over,” and it is swirling with fantasy. Out via STNS, MLE takes a leap with this release, experimenting with a multitude of layered sounds and production methods. While it’s only her second drop, MLE is already making herself known for bass beats from outside the box, adding a psychedelic flare to entice listeners and get them on their feet.
“Come Over” opens with an explosion of colorful sound, an instant attention grabber before fading into the core of the track. It has a cyclical, quick nature, emitting beams of synth and the drum kit. The vocals are sped up, high-pitched to meet the bar set by the beat. The production is expansive, tapping into a plethora of different quirks and specialties. Therefore, “Come Over” houses a uniqueness and authenticity that raises the energy of the song and the room. The cover is just as bright and provocative, with a pop-art style and collaged facial features over red, purple, and green backgrounds.

The rising drum & bass star released her debut track “Under My Skin” earlier this year, a skeletal single with enticing keys and a creeping delight. With these powerful steps into the world of house music, MLE is creating a vivid presence of herself and her music, lyrically gleaming with an artistic eye that meets this atmosphere with ease. She is a young, determined musician with lots of spirit, and we can’t wait to see what she next concocts.
MLE will be performing on August 20th at Sun-Set, Vol. VIII with For Those Who Need House in Southern California. She will be playing alongside artists including Kosta and Shane Kwon, with tickets available here. Check out “Come Over” below and keep up with the darling Emily Sheier on her socials!
