Cel NoLackin has returned. Back with a single, the artist released “Told U” to listeners’ anticipation and excitement. The artist has been steadily making music since his debut in 2021, creating popular tracks like “11:11” and “NOLACKIN!,.”

From Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the sixteen-year-old has co-signed with notable rap artists like EST Gee and producer 808 Southside. Though young, Cel NoLackin has a strong idea of what he wants to say and how he wants to go about his sound.

The song has a very subtle start, nothing that is too loud or banging. Soon, however, the rapper’s voice comes on, and it transforms the mood completely.

Told you I was gon’ be the one who run the block
Told you I was gon’ be the one who call the shots

– “Told U”

NoLackin’s voice is in auto-tune, an effect that changes the lyrics into a motto to be chanted. The track was created to exude confidence and charisma. It’s very much young, fresh, and almost playful. His carelessness is admirable, and it’s what almost makes the young artist unstoppable. Cel NoLackin goes from experimenting with newer sounds to diving back into more familiar ones, reminiscent of the rap and hip-hop he might’ve grown up listening to.

There’s no questioning that Cel NoLackin is eager to perform, whenever and wherever. The artist is known to appear on setlists for small venues like clubs in the Harrisburg area. Though there aren’t any dates for future appearances, fans can check out his released mixtapes on Spotify. Also, check out his Instagram for behind-the-scenes and any other updates.
