CAMILLA CABELLO AND VEVO RELEASE EXCLUSIVE PERFORMANCE OF “BAM BAM”
Camila Cabello and VEVO have teamed up to create an official live performance series that will feature four videos of Camila’s hit songs. One of them being her newest single “Bam Bam” that features English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. “Bam Bam” taps in to her emotional breakup with Shawn Mendes while giving us a tropical feel.
Camila has been a beloved star since her days on X-Factor. Starting out in a girl group then growing into her own as a solo artist, Camila releases music that connects with her Cuban-American roots. She is partnering with VEVO with her third studio album Familia. “Bam Bam” marks the first of four videos in the release lineup. It also features “Boys don’t cry,” and two others not released just yet. VEVO is the world’s leading music video network operating over a decade connecting audiences with a high quality music videos. Who wouldn’t want a high quality video of a breakup song about Shawn Mendes?
Camila worked very closely with the VEVO team creating a custom set that emulates joy, movement and freedom. Very fitting with this light flowing beachy song. The set allows you to feel the lyrics in your body like you are drifting along with the ocean; feeling free, weightless and nothing but bliss. Camila is seen in the middle of a valley surround by rolling hills and nothing but a clear blue sky behind her. The backup dancers are dressed very similar to her in all white as they dance over to a round stage. The scene is then covered with nature as new branches and leaves start to sprout.

VEVO and Camila captured the symbolism she sings in this Latin rhythm tune. Feeling down and lost in the waves but it’s a familiar feeling however the leaves bloom and life starts again. Holding on to the feeling, nature is ever-changing but familiar. It is just like holding on to a love that keeps us grounded.
