“BUTTER” BY BEEMER IS THE PERFECT FEEL-GOOD PICK-ME-UP SONG FOR THE RAINY DAYS
Shout out to all my Cali readers out there, hope you stay safe during these horrible storms and keep dry! But for all of you who are lucky enough to be cuddled up in a cozy blanket and be able to enjoy the serenity of the rain, I’ve got the ideal tune for your chill sessions. Spoiler alert: It has something to do with cats!

The song was inspired by one of the band member’s cats named Bella (how freaking cute is that?!). According to cat dad and songwriter, Hank Donato, it’s a silly song concept that he wanted to turn into this fun, poppy love song for everyone out there who loves their cat. And let me tell you he was 100% successful!
I wrote “Butter” a few years ago from the perspective of my old cat, Bella. She was a very needy cat, desperate for connection, and I imagined her writing this sort of passive aggressive love song to me about how she wishes I wouldn’t be gone for so long at work or yell at her when she had an accident, and that she would give me all the love I needed.
