Blush Red for Faouzia’s Rendition of “I’m Blue”
Faouzia, the internationally acclaimed Moroccan-Canadian artist, released a profound take on Eiffel 65’s classic, worldwide #1 hit, “Blue (Da Ba Dee).” The singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumental superstar first recorded the song over three years ago, becoming a smash hit via viral video. Last month, “I’m Blue” was featured on the soundtrack for Netflix series Red Rose, which brought the track back to the spotlight.
Faouzia’s rendition of “I’m Blue” begins with a haunting chant of the keys, then creeps slowly into lyricism. The chorus crescendos, matched by melodies on higher piano octaves.
