Ava Max Dazzles Crowds in Custom Christian Siriano at Met Gala
Pearls, crystals, and diamonds, oh my!
Max’s appearance at the Met comes in the midst of her On Tour (Finally) Tour, which is meant to support her sophomore album, Diamonds & Dancefloors. But her tour is not the only place Max is showcasing diamonds. The famous Met carpet saw the star-studded singer dripping in diamonds as she modeled in a custom designer gown.
The ‘Sweet but Psycho’ pop princess looked straight out a storybook as she turned heads in her custom-made Christian Siriano gown for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Met Gala, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” on May 1. The Met’s theme this year was devoted to the late Karl Lagerfeld, who served as an iconic force in the fashion industry during his six-decade career, most notably serving fashion houses like Chanel and Fendi. Max was not Siriano’s sole model, as his work could also be seen on figures such as model Karen Elson, actor Harvey Guillen, and Broadway star Alex Newell.
While not a wedding gown, Max looked like a beautiful bride as she showed off Siriano’s winter-wonderful-esque work. Max’s custom gown featured over six thousand pearls and crystals over her ivory column gown and also sported a long, elegant tulle train. The dress had an off-the-shoulder pearl and crystal-encrusted top that folded over sheer white long sleeves, complete with silver and white beads that matched Max’s headpiece, which she adorned over her beautiful platinum locks.
Diamonds & Dancefloors is available on all streaming platforms. Max’s tour is currently in Europe, with upcoming dates hitting cities like Milan, Italy, and Hamburg, Germany, before she returns to the US in late May. Fans of Max can find out when their city’s tour date is coming up on the official Ava Max website.
