Just days before the highly anticipated release of Like a House on Fire, Asking Alexandria’s sixth studio album, the band gives their fans a taste of what’s to come. Today, “House on Fire” was dropped with a music video created during the COVID-19 lock down.
Fans have been loving the fresh sound from the band. While maintaining the heavy sound Asking Alexandria became known for, they incorporated a modern, pop twist in their latest music. “House on Fire,” in particular, is the catchiest single from the band so far in regards to their upcoming album, and was a surprise drop to everly-increase anticipations.
Simple and to the point, the music video brings us back to the classic feel of playing rock music in the garage, but with a new, clean studio feel, and hand drawn graphics. Fitting for the times, this video pairs with the lyrics well and inspires movement and hope in the song’s uplifting sound. With an anthem beat and heavier but catchy chorus, “House on Fire,” is a song you can listen to on repeat and not easily tire from. Starting with heavier guitar, then breaking down to the first verse, the vocals are crisp and soulful, but fun and filled with ease. And as the song builds back up to each chorus, the song takes you to a catchy escape from daily life.
Like a House on Fire comes out this Friday, April 15th. Guitarist Ben Bruce is doing a giveaway to those who pre-order the album before the release date. Check it out at the link here.
