ASCENDIA RELEASES TITLE TRACK OF THEIR UPCOMING ALBUM “PARASITE”

Ascendia just released their newest single/title of their upcoming album called “Parasite” and the meaning behind it will tug at your heart strings. This song was written in dedication of the terrifying world-shifting pandemic and how mental health rapidly declined ever since. Depression and anxiety increased by 25 percent and 1 in 100 deaths are deemed suicide. TO WRITE LOVE ON HER ARMS have started a YOU ARE NOT A BURDEN campaign to raise awareness and prevent suicide. “Parasite” addresses the feeling of tearing down self-worth. Ascendia really wanted to connect with their fans who might be going through similar emotions that have sparked during these life shifting times.

“Parasite” really captures the very heavy emotions that take over when you feel yourself slipping into forms of depression. With sick guitar riffs that keep the mood heightened and on the edge of your toes. Lyrics that pull you in and helps you understand what goes on in peoples mind when they aren’t feeling like themselves. Even with the hard rock vibe, the song is very moving. Ascendia did an excellent job at getting the message across. What they wanted to do for their fans was really admirable.
